Administrative Assistant

Playwrights Project seeks an Administrative Assistant to work full-time (40 hrs/wk, in office) in a fast paced and intellectually stimulating environment. The position is responsible for support of general office tasks, bookkeeping, assisting with social media, ticket sales, and clerical support for all areas of the organization (including fundraising, marketing, and programs).

Auditions

The Pros and Cons of Feeding Stray Cats
by Christian St. Croix

Directed by Marc Caro-Wilcox, The Pros and Cons of Feeding Stray Cats is a funny and heartbreaking tale about friendship, choices, and cats. Performances will take place at the The Old Globe's Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre.  We are searching for 2 actors (18+) to portray 17 year old's.  The roles are as follows:

QUINCY DOUGLAS - Seventeen. Black. Cis female. Gay. A talented cook. Chill, likable.  The oversized tee and skate sneaker type.

VICTOR GUERRA - Almost Eighteen. Latinx. Cis male. Straight. A talented artist. Wiry, charming, fidgety. The band tee and flip-flop type.

To audition: Please submit a 1-minute contemporary monologue appropriate for young people. Actors must be 18+. Click here to submit your audition via Google Forms or email your materials to aproctor@playwrightsproject.org by February 15.

Rehearsals begin March 4.

Performance Dates:
March 26, 2025, at 10 AM
March 27, 2025, at 10 AM & 12:30 PM
March 28, 2025, at 10 AM
March 29, 2025, at 2 PM & 7:00 PM
March 30, 2025, at 2 PM

*Actors must be available for all performance dates.

If selected, actors will be paid as employees. $17.25/hr for rehearsals, $25/hr for performances. Non-Equity.
