Farewell & Bon Voyage!

Laurel Withers, who spearheads our development office and who has faithfully served Playwrights Project for twenty years, will unfortunately be departing from the organization at the end of April to enjoy her much deserved retirement. Beginning as a volunteer back in 1996, Laurel has fulfilled multiple roles as Playwrights Project has grown over time. A gifted communicator and an impeccable event coordinator with a warm heart and passion for arts and education advocacy, Laurel has been an indispensable asset to Playwrights Project time and time again. Her sweet, hardworking spirit will be greatly missed. We congratulate her as she begins this new phase of life.

Thank you, Laurel, for your many years of service!
We are currently accepting applications for a
Development Manager!

Playwrights Project offers the Development Manager the opportunity to help build the capacity of a healthy mid-sized organization, where bold artistic choices are supported by prudent management policies. The Development Manager will manage all funding proposals and reports, oversee special events, coordinate efforts to deepen involvement of current donors, encourage program participants to contribute, and attract new donors.

For more information, click here.

Anticipated start date is April 11th.
Welcome aboard, Kendrick Dial!

We would also like to welcome new staff member, Kendrick Dial, an actor, singer, social worker, voiceover artist, spoken word poet and veteran. Kendrick joins us as part of a fellowship sponsored by The Mission Continues, a national nonprofit organization that serves veterans of all ages. As part of his fellowship, Kendrick will be assisting us through August with our programs in schools and communities.

Kendrick seeks to inspire future generations to serve, and his influence within the local community is undeniable. We are grateful to have him on our team; thank you, Kendrick!
