Lights Up! Playwrights Take the Stage 2026

Be the first know which student playwrights will be featured at the 42nd Plays by Young Writers Festival in February 2027!
This informal, in-person reception will take place at the Cygnet Theatre. We will have a brief conversation with the winning playwrights and give an exclusive sneak peek into their scripts. We will also celebrate the finalists and semi-finalists of the 2026 California Young Playwrights Contest.
Please Note: This event is separate from the Plays by Young Writers Festival, which will take place at the Salvation Army Kroc Center Theatre.
Tickets are free; reservations are required. Online reservations close 12 hours prior the event.
