Community Collage at
San Diego State University Cancelled
We regret to announce that our 8th annual Community Collage collaboration with San Diego State University previously scheduled for April 23-26th, 2020 will be cancelled.

As concerns around COVID-19 continue, we are working closely with our partners to assure the safety of our participants and staff. Our writing programs in schools, correctional facilities, and community centers are continuing with added protocols to incorporate the recommendations of the CDC and the institutions we serve. We are closely monitoring all programs and will suspend or modify them as needed in collaboration with our program partners.

"Finding Our Way"
Finding Our Way , written in our Out of the Yard program at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, was presented as our second Mosaic program this past fall. Finding Our Way was part of a mini-tour, which included a performance at MOXIE Theatre, San Bernardino Valley Community College, an opioid conference with the US Attorney's Office in San Diego, and RJD. The performances on four yards inside RJD was the first professional production of a play written by incarcerated playwrights performed inside Donovan Correctional Facility.

"Feliz Cumpleaños"
The Funders Network asked Playwrights Project to present Feliz Cumpleaños by Jordan Marie Finley at their national conference, which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. We were honored to be asked, and thank The Funders Network for the opportunity.
